Juan “Young Jefe” Adkins has been in this game for pretty much his whole life. He went from artist to Entrepreneur to acquiring his own label “Glizzy gang” filled with talented artists across multiple genres. This new era in Juan's career has seen him become more relevant not in spite of his past work but because of it. Through his record label, “Glizzy Gang” the hip-hop mogul has achieved what most household-name rappers with imprints have not: breaking prominent underground names into a mainstream audience while continually shattering his own personal records.
We had a chance to sit and catch up with Kiyomei, here is what she had to say.
“It’s rare to find somebody who’s an amazing creative but also a great businessperson,”herES ANEXCLUSIVE INTERVIW WITH Juan

P-Where do you get the inspiration for your music?
JA-Uhm, I get my inspiration from my past and present, whatever I'm going thru or went thru, I wrote it down and made a song about it.
P-So what’s in the works for an album?Got a date for it yet?
JA-The album is just about finished. I'm just waiting on a few features, I'm tryna drop by the end of this month.
P-What would you say is the difference between being independent and an artist and having to answer to a label?
JA-Being independent you have full control and everything you working for is yours, being signed to a label is like being in jail you have to do what they say when they say, you have no control and your label owns everything,
P-So I see you just welcomed twins recently, congrats on that btw has that changed your work ethic ?
JA-Thank you ,I appreciate that and having two newborns changed my work ethic completely, a nigga barley getting any sleep.
P-Who would you say is next up on your label?
JA-I actually have two artists that I'm pushing to be next up, Maiah and Dayonna. They are crazy with the vocals and the mariah pen game is crazy .
P-Lastly, any advice that you'd want to give to any new comers in the music industry?
JA-My advice to any new coming artist is either stay independent or buy all masters and
rights to your music!!
